Well this book at times is the exact same way as Eddie Mason opens up his heart and shares with everyone different journeys and paths he has taken in life. This book hits home in many areas of life, but with the "Time Outs" it helps you to work through those moments you feel are not changeable. Men and women a like can grow deeper in there spiritual walk with Christ as you not only read, but work through this book. You can see that God has His hands upon Eddie Mason, and He is making a difference in Eddies life, so that Eddie can make a stronger impact in the lives of others. This is a must read.

Alcorn Training for the Tough Game of Life is a well written book by Eddie Mason. I highly recommend this book for anyone who is searching for answers. The book takes his own life's stories and shows you how faith can guide you to God's calling. He shares his own personal story and ties it together with his own faith without preaching ...but directing you to the spirit. This is a great book for a young person preparing for college and equally helpful to anyone who needs positive change and direction. "No matter how much we think we can do it on our own, God expects us to still look at him for guidance." It is simple quotes like this which guides you through the Tough Game of Life! Thank you Coach Eddie for sharing this story and being the light!

I can say that I totally loved ready this memoir By Broadwayfan As a member of the green shirt team at the Arizona Ironman, I can say that I totally loved ready this memoir. It brought back lots of memories for me in watching Andi compete in this amazing event. As a spectator it reminded me of how excited we were to see her at any stage of the challenge. I know I speak for most of us that our relief to see her come out of the water was not much different then the relief she felt! I also watched her progress online at Kona and was glued to my chair for every update. Her passion and excitement for this sport has spurred many others including myself to stretch and challenge ourselves to participate in things we never thought possible. I eagerly await the next books that will be coming. I highly recommend this book to anyone who needs a motivating voice to take the first leap and sign up for a challenge!

I enjoyed reading about your ability to face fears and not just get past them, but to absolutely conquer them.I was surprised when some of your passages evoked very emotional responses from me. Running in the dark in Hawaii hit me particularly hard. It really inspires me to face my own motivational issues that have plagued me for years.I am going to get my daughters to read it. They need to understand that it is not about being the best, but doing your best and finishing hard things.Thanks for sharing.

Very organized with great, motivational direction in teaching us all how to conguer our fears and become stronger people. Loved the analogy of not letting our chemistry get in the way of becoming an Ironman!!! Recommend this book to anyone facing or taking on the challenge of hard things.
