The author, Bill Redban, follows the life of Madison Bumgarner from childhood to last year’s World Series win. While there are quite a few statistics, the author also ruminates on the legacy and potential of Madison Bumgarner and slightly delves into his personal life. This book would definitely appeal to San Francisco Giants fans as well as those who are fans of pitchers and their legacies.

The book is well written and well laid out. The author has obviously done their research as there was plenty in here that I did not know even having looked him up on Wikipedia previously.Overall this is an excellent book if you want to know more about Madison Bumgarner and provides a very interesting read.

Shaw A concise introduction Madison Bumgarner.Bill Redban does a great job of highlighting the relatable and humble beginings of Madison Bumgarner which makes the story inspirational to the everyday person. Well written and thoughtfully laid out, it was a pleasant and easy read that showed both the professional and personal life of Bumgarner.Book would be strengthened with some interviews from Bumgarner and the people who have affected his personal and professional life.With it being so early in his career, I can only look forward to additional updates in the coming years as he matures in the field. Great read!
