For those readers that have a proclivity to enjoy coming of age books as told by a young man than this is the best of all Victorian examples I have ever devoured....A fifteen year old Charlie Roberts he manages to witness a recently married houseguest, Mrs. Benson, in the thoes of sex with her husband. The little voyeur is soon discovered by the newlywed, and, instead of becoming outraged and immediately snitching on his parents, Mrs. B swears Charlie to keep 'their secret' and she will 'reward him' for his silence. Well let me tell you what a deviously delicious reward it was, and, she went out of her way to reward Charlie over and over..... It details the sexual adventures of Charlie, who at age 15 is initiated into the arts of love by an older woman staying with his family. After recieving his training, Charlie then goes on to initiate both his sisters, and their Governess Miss Evelyn, (Whom Charlie impregnates) into the sexual arts before moving out into the world to find further sexual adventures. Very well written, with a nice flow to it, this book is a must for any true conesuir of 19th century erotic literature.

A woman says this book is truly wonderful By Betelnut Don't listen to the person who describes this book as containing abusive content--that is simply not true! There are some scenes of very mild spanking, etc., but participants are willing and eager. I think one of the reasons this erotic novel is so popular (besides the sheer number of pages describing every type of sex you can imagine!) is that our hero seems to genuinely love and respect the women (and men) that he cavorts with! He loves the hairy legs and large stomachs of the women (both young and old) and enjoys the differences between his female and male lovers. There is true affection between all the participants.There is very explicit content--no doubt--and on practically every page too! But it is consistently entertaining and stimulating~!As a woman, I can say that I love this book!

Edward L. Mussler was born in Melbourne, Florida. He is a 1986 Melbourne High School graduate. He received his bachelor’s degree in journalism from Troy University (Alabama). He spent nearly ten years in the newspaper industry where he won several deadline writing awards. Although he was born a year after the Bulldogs’ triumphant 1966 season, he grew up hearing stories of Melbourne High’s wonderful championship team. A number of years after leaving the newspaper business and yet still eager to keep writing, he came up with the idea of putting down the vivid accounts of the Bulldogs’ glorious season on paper. He works for Northrop Grumman Corp. in Melbourne, down the street from Melbourne High. He, his wife Tammy, and three children A.J., Trey and Addie live in Melbourne Beach.

Riddled with the strife and upheaval of the Vietnam War, the civil rights movement and assassinations, the chaotic decade also ushered in a revolution in space exploration, cultural and artistic development and an exploding sports scene that gripped the nation. Joe Namath, the UCLA Bruins, the Green Bay Packers dynasty, the first Super Bowl and the controversial Mexico City Olympics of 1968 helped to shape a sports landscape that remains legendary today.Forty years ago, the citizens of Melbourne would just as soon entertain themselves with a drive along the beach or by taking in a high school football game as they would catching an episode of the "Dick Van Dyke Show" or "Gunsmoke." In 1965, the Melbourne High School Bulldogs football team reached the championship game of the Class 2A Florida state football playoffs. The Bulldogs fell 44-12 to the Stingarees of Miami High School in the Orange Bowl, shattering dreams of Brevard's first-ever state football title, if only for one season. Melbourne Beach native and 1986 Melbourne High School graduate Ed Mussler picks up where that 1965 season left off, chronicling the Bulldogs' "Hoosier-esque" comeback road to the 1966 state championship in his newly released book, A Glorious Season.Mussler, a sports writer-turned-recruiter for Northrop Grumman in Melbourne, said the idea for the book just came to him one day while working at his desk. Mussler tells the tale of a team that overachieved in making it to the 1965 title game, but still was picked to make it back to the championship the next year.Nationally known for its academics in the 1950s and 1960s, Mussler credits prominent educator and Melbourne High principal Dr. B. Frank Brown for his commitment to bring the athletics programs up to par with the school's scholarly prowess. The book follows the 1966 team as it overcomes the hardship of losing its star quarterback, Mickey Zofko, who broke his collarbone in a rematch with Miami High in the third week and missed the rest of the regular season. Along the way, Mussel tells of the pursuit and hiring of Byrd Wigham as head coach. Wigham had just won a state title with Wildwood High School in 1964. He immediately put the Bulldogs on the football map with the appearance in the 1965 title game, and would go down as a legend for winning the championship in 1966 over Fort Lauderdale High.Mussler's sports writing roots are present throughout the book. He chronicles each game of the 1966 season, from the opening victory over Edgewater High at the Tangerine Bowl in Orlando to the triumph over the Flying L's of Fort Lauderdale High in the championship, resurrecting the heroic exploits of Zofko and backfield mates Billy Green and Johnny Valentine, as if they happened last weekend. Throughout the book, Mussler pays attention to details and takes great pains to give the reader an inside look at the circumstances, characters and story lines of each game, rekindling 40 years of passion for the games and bringing it to the page. The manner in which a football team can unite a small town is a central theme in the book. Mussler said the project helped bring him closer to the town in which he grew up. Mussler colors his book with photos of the players and coaches in the heat of battle, and he gives as much attention to the starting guard as he does the star quarterback when telling us where the players are today.The book winds down with the inevitable break up of the team contrasted with the break up of The Beatles and a lyric from George Harrison's "All Things Must Pass": All things must pass. None of life's strings can last. So I must be on my way to face another day.
